Last Wednesday at Drakopoulou Park, we discovered who was “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance”!
John Ford’s legendary film, one of the finest works of classic American cinema, returned to the big screen after several decades, thanks to the 16th Athens Open Air Film Festival powered by DEI, and was presented in an outstanding digital restoration.
The large audience enjoyed both the film and the refreshing temperatures of the beautiful Drakopoulou Park, which provided welcome relief during one of the hottest nights of the summer.
Thank you all so much for joining us. We look forward to seeing you again tomorrow, Saturday, July 25, for a celebratory double screening of “Airplane!” and “Top Secret!”, two of the most successful comedies of the 1980s, on the magnificent Dionysiou Areopagitou pedestrian walkway, with a privileged view of the Acropolis!
