16th AOAFF powered by DEI: “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” comes to Drakopoulou Park!

An elderly senator returns to the small town in the Wild West where, many years ago, he became a legend for taking on the notorious outlaw Liberty Valance. And as he recounts his story, in one of his masterpieces, John Ford casts a mature and demythologizing gaze on the mythology of the Wild West, speaking of the distance that separates truth from narrative, the necessity of the latter for the formation of a nation still in its infancy, and the replacement of the nomad and pioneer mindset with that of the free market and individualism.
