“The Virgin Spring” at Eleftherias Park
On Wednesday, July 1, the Museum of Cycladic Art and the 16th Athens Open Air Film Festival powered by DEI filled the beautiful setting of Eleftherias Park screening the Oscar-winning "The Virgin Spring" in a location that perfectly matched the film’s atmosphere and became even more evocative thanks to the lighting interventions by ART OF SOUND.
The celebrated film was selected for this screening by distinguished artist Jeff Koons, whose exhibition Jeff Koons: “Aphrodite” of Lespugue is currently hosted at the Museum of Cycladic Art.
We thank each and every one of you for filling yet another one of our screenings, and we suggest you save your energy for next week’s exciting four-day programme of screenings, which will begin with Claude Chabrol’s "The Unfaithful Wife" and culminate in our/your beloved all-night horror marathon at Plato’s Academy Park.
