The 3rd Athens Open Air Film Festival, with the kind support of the Greek National Organization of Tourism spreads the heat and tension by screening the film «One Deadly Summer», one of the biggest successes of the French cinema, on Thursday July 25, at Agias Eirinis Square. Isabelle Adjani promises to stir up the crowds with her legendary beauty in a performance which gave her a César award.
Fischer will be with us to cool the audience down by offering cold beer.
The film: Between two Oscar nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the films «The Story of Adele H» (1975) and «Camille Claudel» (1988), the exceptional Isabelle Adjani managed to scandalize the crowds with her most sensual appearance on the big screen.
«One Deadly Summer» («L'été meurtrier», 1983) is a story of mystery, obsession, misunderstandings and escalating madness which unfolds as the 19-year-old Eliane moves to a town in the south of France with her family and brings the local community upside down with her overflowing sexuality. Unsurprisingly, Jean Becker’s film, which turns thirty this year, was a remarkable box-office success in France and gave its heroine a César award.
We wish to thank Ellen Schafer and Société Nouvelle de Cinématographie (SNC) for supporting the festival and granting us the film rights.
The screening is realized with the kind support of the French Institute in Greece and the French Embassy.
