On Monday evening at the vivid Mesologiou Square in Pagrati, its usual visitors, mostly parents with their kids, the local residents but also restless viewers who wish to expand their knowledge on important social phenomena kept silent while listening to the shocking revelations of those who participated in «Avenue Zero».
Featuring candid interviews with victims, witnesses, and perpetrators of human trafficking in Canada «Avenue Zero» weaves a spellbinding portrait of a dark and sinister modern slavery that flourishes in the shadows of the law throughout the whole world.
The screening was also attended by the editor of the newspaper «Kathimerini», Mrs. Maria Katsounaki, who used to live in the neighborhood and revealed to us how happy a childhood she had in this very same square.
We continue today in a musical, comedy tone with the screening of the film «Circus» by Charlie Chaplin at the open air cinema Lais of the Greek Film Archive, accompanied by the band «His Majesty the King of Spain».
