15th Athens Open Air Film Festival powered by DEI: A majestic film noir in the heart of the city
Carol Reed’s "The Third Man", in its digitally restored version, filled Mitropoleos Square with the mysterious aura of post-war Vienna, the haunting music of Anton Karas, and the iconic presence of Orson Welles.
🌙 Under the starry Athenian sky and the silent grandeur of the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, we experienced one of the most atmospheric cinema nights of this year’s Festival.
✨ Behind the shadows and the iconic frames of the film noir classic, the timeless parable of light and darkness, good and evil, reemerged — in a world that feels eerily... familiar.
