Last night, Plato’s Academy Archaeological Park, a hidden treasure of breathtaking natural beauty, played to host to classic coming-of-age masterpiece “The Big Chill”. Crowds started gathering from early on to reserve a spot, including families, couples on a romantic outing and friends on a night out on the town. Artistic director Orestis Andreadakis welcomed the audience to the third edition of Athens’ favorite summer festival, sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes from “The Big Chill” and cracking jokes.
Fischer offered spectators ice cold beer, the perfect complement to any movie night, especially if it’s under the stars.
Our band of outsiders - Tom Berenger, Glenn Close, Jeff Goldblum, Kevin Kline, Meg Tilly and William Hurt – filled the screen with tension, laughter, emotion and a whole lotta love, which only served to intensify the overall chill-out vibe that comes hand-in-hand with the hot weather.
The film was screened with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Athens.
