The town’s crowd, residents and tourists, love the open air cinema and consistently prove it. Last night, during the screening of the film «A Foolish Love» within the context of the 3rd Athens Open Air Film Festival, Avissinias Square was packed.
We had the honor of the presence of the director Yorgos Panousopoulos and his wife as well as the film’s leading actress, Betty Livanou. Among the people who attended the screening where also the directors Nikos Perakis and Yorgos Tseberopoulos, who had worked for the film in terms of production design and production execution respectively.
People of all age filled the square and the surrounding coffee shops in order to watch one of the most powerful moments of the greek cinema, even by staying standing. Passersby stopped over to have peak (we even caught the glimpse of the film’s leading actor, Aris Retsos), and enjoy nostalgically the unique glance of the director in a summer-mood Athens of the 80s.
